How to Offer Free Gifts or Discounts to the Cheapest Cart Item in WooCommerce

Today, YayPricing allows users to offer free gifts or discounts to the cheapest cart item in WooCommerce.

To be more clear, let's see these scenarios!

Free Gifts for The Cheapest Item in Cart

You will set up a rule for buying 3 and paying only 2 (for any products in your store), in other words, buy any 3 products and get the cheapest for free.

Here's how to set it up:

Step 1: Add a new “Buy X Get Y” rule.

Step 2: Set up a pricing rule with buying 2 of 3 products.

Step 3: Specify discount rule on gift item - Offer Free gift

In this section, choose the “Free" option > Cheapest one. Assign 3 similar products as above.

Then, YayPricing will automatically discount the cheapest product.

Step 4: Save change and see how it works!

Click on “Save” and you can check the result on the product page, or see how the discount is applied on the checkout page.

Discounts on The Cheapest Item

Set the rule as buy any 3 products and get discount on the cheapest one. (you can set another rule with more products)

If a customer buys at least 2 of 3 products: Beanie, Beanie with Logo, and Belt, they get a discount of 80% on the cheapest product.

Here's how to set it up:

Step 1 and Step 2 are similar to the above, so we start this rule from step 3.

Step 3: Specify the discount rule on the cheapest item

In the “Get Products” section, choose the “Discount" option > Cheapest one. Specify discount type as percentage discount and discount value as 80%. Assign 3 similar products as above.

Step 4: Save the change and see how it works!

After setting up, let's see how this discount rule is applied on the checkout page.
