YayCurrency is fully compatible with Lottery for WooCommerce, a robust plugin designed for creating and managing online lotteries directly within your WooCommerce shop.

This combination allows you to offer seamless multi-currency support for lottery tickets, you can enhance your lottery store with global currency support, improving the user experience and increasing participation from international customers.

Step 1: Install these plugins

First of all, make sure that you have already activated these plugins:

Admin dashboard > Plugins > Add New/Upload Plugins

  • WooCommerce

  • YayCurrency

Step 2: Set Up Lottery for WooCommerce

Next, follow these steps to create your first lottery.

Admin dashboard > Products > Add New

Before setting up your lottery, it’s important to give it an engaging name that grabs attention (e.g: Lucky Number Jackpot, Golden Ticket Raffle, etc)

Scroll down to the Product Data meta box, in the dropdown menu, select Lottery. This option should be available if the WooCommerce Lottery plugin is installed and activated.

After that, you need to fill in the essential details that will make your lottery easy for customers to understand.

  • Min tickets: Set the minimum number of tickets that must be sold for the lottery to be valid. If the minimum number of tickets is not sold by the lottery's end date, the lottery can be canceled or refunded. This ensures you reach a certain participation level before the prize is given out.

  • Max ticket: Set the total number of tickets available for sale. This creates a limit on how many tickets can be sold, which can increase urgency and participation if people know there’s a cap. Once all tickets are sold, no more entries will be accepted.

  • Maximum tickets per user: This restricts how many entries each participant can have, which can ensure fairness and prevent a single user from buying up a large portion of the tickets.

  • Number of winners: You can have multiple winners if you wish to distribute prizes among more participants. For example, the first winner might get the main prize, while additional winners could get smaller prizes.

  • Price: Set the cost of each lottery ticket.

  • Lottery from date: Set the date and time when the lottery starts.

  • Lottery to date: The date and time after which no more tickets can be sold, and the winners will be selected.

Then, click the Publish button.

Step 3: Configure Currencies in YayCurrency for Lottery Tickets

Go to YayCommerce > YayCurrency

At Manage Currency tab, click on Add New Currency and choose the desired currencies from the list (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP, etc.)
