Free Gifts for The Cheapest Item in Cart

This setup lets you automatically reward customers by giving the cheapest item in their cart for free. It’s often used in “Buy 2 Get 1 Free” or “Buy 3 Pay for 2” promotions.

In this case, you will set up a rule for buying 3 and paying only 2 (for any products in your store), in other words, buy any 3 products and get the cheapest for free.

Step 1: Create a New Pricing Rule

Go to YayPricing > Click Add Rule and select Buy X Get Y

Step 2: Define the Pricing Rule for Buying 2 of 3 Products

In the Buy Product section:

Choose Cart Subtotal, Quantity, or Products in Cart depending on your campaign.

Example: Customer must buy 2 items, and get the cheapest item for free.

Step 3: Specify Discount Rule on Gift Item - Offer Cheapest Free Gift

In this section, choose the “Free" option > the Cheapest one. Assign 3 similar products as above.

YayPricing will automatically detect the lowest-priced product and apply the free reward.

Step 4: Save change and see how it works!

Click on “Save” and you can check the result on the product page or see how the discount is applied on the checkout page.

Your store is now ready. When you add 2 items to your cart, YayPricing will automatically add the cheapest product for free during checkout.
