# How to Connect Yahoo! Mail

**SMTP Details for Yahoo Mail**

**Host:** smtp.mail.yahoo.com\
**Encryption:** SSL\
**SMTP Port:** 465\
**Authentication:** On\
**Username:** Your Yahoo Mail account email (e.g. <bruce@yahoo.com>)\
**Password:** You will need to generate an app password for your account.

You need to input the above details into the YaySMTP settings area accordingly, then **enable less secure apps in Yahoo** by logging into your Yahoo account and then open **"account security settings"** or [click here](https://login.yahoo.com/account/security#less-secure-apps), click on the **Generate app password**.

An overlay will show up, choose **Others** and write app name as **YaySMTP,** click the **Generate** button, this will show the one-time password which you should copy and paste inside the password field on your website's YaySMTP settings screen.

Click the **Save** button to save the changes.
