Review, Edit & Reply

The Review, Edit & Reply settings allow you to control how customers edit their reviews, how store admins respond, and how important reviews are highlighted on product pages.

Customer Review Editing

Allow Customers to Edit Reviews

  • When enabled, customers can edit their own reviews after submitting them.

  • Customers are only allowed to edit their own reviews.

Edit Time Window (Hours)

  • Defines how long customers are allowed to edit their reviews after posting.

  • Set the value to 0 to allow unlimited editing until the store replies.

Show “Edited” Badge

  • Displays an “Edited” label on reviews that have been modified.

Store Reply

Store Reply Feature

  • Store administrators and Shop Managers can reply directly to customer reviews on product pages.

  • Only one store reply per review is allowed.

  • Customers receive an email notification when their review receives a reply.

Edit Lock After Reply

  • Once a store reply is posted, the customer can no longer edit their review.

  • This ensures the store’s reply remains relevant to the original review content.

How It Works

  • Edit and Reply buttons appear in the product review section.

  • Customers can only edit reviews they submitted.

  • Only users with the manage_woocommerce capability can reply.

  • All actions are handled via AJAX (no page reload).

  • Store replies are managed through WordPress Comments.

Pinned Reviews

Enable Pinned Reviews

  • Allows administrators to pin selected reviews.

  • Allows administrators to change pinned review colors

  • Pinned reviews appear first on product pages.

  • When enabled, a “Featured” badge is displayed on reviews that are marked as featured.
