# Third-party plugin data

When working with new email templates, please note that the YayMail builder functions **in conjunction with WooCommerce third-party plugins**. This means YayMail can only retrieve and display data that is passed through by the third-party plugin into the email templates. If the plugin doesn't expose specific values, YayMail cannot access or display them.

While YayMail's earlier versions may have previously managed to retrieve some values through creative workarounds, newer plugin versions often introduce changes for better compatibility and **may deprecate site-specific functions**.

Here's how we can support you:

* If the data you need is visible in the plugin’s default WooCommerce email template, then we can absolutely help integrate it into YayMail.
* If the data is not available in the default email or not exposed by the plugin, we recommend **contacting the third-party plugin’s support** to request access to the necessary data. Then you can get back to us and our dev team will be happy to implement the new placeholders in new email templates.

Thanks for your understanding and collaboration.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.yaycommerce.com/yaymail/other-links/troubleshooting/third-party-plugin-data.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
