# How to Add Different Option Types

The next thing to do after adding the option name and description in the **General tab** is to click on the second '**Options' tab.** Click on **Add new option** and a new **Text** option would be automatically added.

Then, click on this option to expand it, so you can change the default **Text Option** selected if you wish, and configure the other various settings available for the option type you choose.
